Cataract Surgery Camp Nigeria

DP World Foundation, in collaboration with the Noor Dubai Foundation, aims to provide effective solutions for individuals suffering from cataracts in Nigeria, contributing to the fight against blindness through cataract surgeries. This initiative is part of the Foundation’s commitment to transforming the lives of individuals in affected communities, particularly in underserved and rural areas that lack access to specialised eye care.

Cataracts are one of the leading causes of blindness worldwide, this initiative focuses on reaching the most vulnerable individuals in Nigeria, a country with a population of over 200 million. With limited access to healthcare, this initiative brings new hope to many individuals suffering from vision impairment caused by cataracts.

CAMPAIGN IMPACT

The 10-day humanitarian initiative for individuals suffering from vision problems in Nigeria achieved the following goals:
207 CATARACT SURGERIES
330 GLASSES
223 MEDICATIONS
1,700 BENEFICIARIES
