This impactful initiative by the philanthropic arm of global logistics firm, DP World, underscores DP World Foundation’s commitment to creating safer, more supportive learning environments for local students, empowering the next generation with the tools they need to thrive.

By prioritising educational infrastructure and resources, DP World Foundation aims to drive long-term community development and foster academic success for future leaders.

“Investing in the education of children in Luanda and across Angola is about more than just their success today—it’s about laying the foundation for a brighter, stronger future for the entire community. This initiative reflects our dedication to empowering the next generation through education and fostering sustainable community growth”, said Latifa Al Qemzi, Director-General of DP World Foundation.

The goal was to complete the renovations of Boa Esperança School (School of Good Hope) and distribute the kits by the end of November, with the support of DP World Luanda, as part of DP World Foundation's global initiative to improve access to quality education and advance sustainable community development.

This effort directly benefits 300 students, equipping them with essential school supplies while transforming their learning environment with upgraded facilities and enhanced safety features. The opening ceremony of the school was attended by H.E Salem Ali Khamis Obaid Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Angola, Ms. Lelika Dos Santos, Deputy Director of the Angolan Transport Minister’s Office representing H.E the minister of, and Mr. Pachero Francisco, Secretary of State for Pre-school and Primary Education, representing the Minister of Education.

“By fostering a positive and supportive educational setting, the project aims to uplift student morale, improve academic outcomes and lay the groundwork for a brighter community future. It also seeks to highlight the critical role of education in social progress and encourage greater corporate engagement in local development”, added Al Qemzi.
